When I was a tenant at 138 Pears Avenue the thing I did not appreciate was the fact that when you called the landlord because you felt his workers were not doing their job properly he would talk down to you and talk to you like a child.

I believe the Children's Aid Society and SOY colluded against me and it all started the day they refereed me to 138 Pears Avenue.

My advice to all current foster kids who age out of CAS is to stay away from SOY:

Racism at 138 Pears Avenue

I don't know what was worse the need to move because there was bed bugs at 138 Pears Avenue or the fact that the maintenance man  blamed the cockroach problem on another aboriginal tenant and he actually said the mans race and the names first and last name. I recorded him. I was anticipating for him to call me a retard. Never did I anticipate for him to leave me feeling like he did. He said that on November 17, 2015. On February 14. 2016 I saw a comment on his computer that said : "The USA is having so many disasters and tragedies you'd almost think it was built on thousands of ancient Indian burial grounds".  On February 14, 2016 my mother and I went to this event and I could not help but cry knowing people could be so cruel to others. 

I have a question. How do all these all these famous organizations like Children's Aid Society and other organizations who claim to help the homeless like St Clare's Multifaith Housing Society get away with not informing their clients that their organization does fundraising and they also post tenant stories on their site for fundraising purposes? Well the way I look at it lots of people are just like me...we are exploited while in foster care when Children's Aid Society has their "I Am Your Children's Aid" campaign and now I have became aware of the problem that its not just CAS its my housing and so I think its disgusting that these organizations don't get in trouble for not informing us about these sites before moving into the building.


My mother question is: How can they get away with promising a room and extra support but instead only providing a room and not providing extra supports and condoning racism in their buildings?

The thing that I find sad is that before I moved out of 138 Pears Avenue they ignored the recommendation to put on employment and housing workshops but they can talk down to people who don't work. I feel that SOY scammed me the same way the province of ontario scammed me.

First the scam was that the province would be there for me if there was any complaints about CAS or the foster parents and now the scam was that if I had any complaints with 138 Pears Avenue that they would support me. That was never the case and those were just fake promises. How can they get away with this?

SOY refereed me to 138 Pears Avenue because I was a former crown ward with little family support and because I had mental health issues and needed extra support. I feel like I was scammed because I got the room but the extra support promised never materialized.

I moved into the building and when I started trying to do something with my life for example start volunteering washing dishes at the Church for the Redeemer and going to therapy is when they started putting me down.

138 Pears Avenue did provide me a room but they failed when it came to providing the extra support.

I think the government and CAS and all these other organizations that claim to help the homeless are really colluding against families and they are not in the business to help families and they are only in the business to pretend to help and make a career off of other peoples problems.


Children's Aid Society never informed me about the "I Am Your Children's Aid" campaign and 138 Pears Avenue never informed me about their campaign.
